INJECTION BLOW MOULDING

The Injection Blow Moulding process is used to manufacture hollow plastic bottles/containers in large quantities. It involves the polymer being injection moulded onto a core pin, then the core pin is rotated to the blow moulding station to be inflated and cooled. The process is divided into 3 steps - injection, blowing and ejection.

Advantages of the IBM process include - accurate neck profile and finish of each bottle that is produced leading to faster filling line cycles with almost zero rejections, no finishing required of the bottles after ejection, accurate processing of small bottles and bottles with narrow neck profiles and zero scrap generation during the manufacturing process. The look and feel of the final component is far superior in comparison to the one manufactured by the EBM process.

We have IBM machines that can manufacture bottles/containers from sizes 10ml to 300ml for applications ranging from pharmaceutical, hair oils, lotions and powders.
