QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEM OF SAI ENTERPRISES

Similar to all manufacturing units, quality plays a crucial role in our production process. Care is taken to maintain a clean hygienic atmosphere which enables production of perfect food grade plastic containers each and every time, day in and day out.

All Sai units have a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) laid down around which the entire manufacturing process revolves right from the stage of entry of raw material into the plants to the exit of finished goods to the customer's plants.

All the units have a dedicated Quality Control (QC) laboratory where, to mention broadly, the following checks take place and are recorded at regular intervals on a daily basis :-

RECEIPT OF RAW MATERIAL and PACKING MATERIAL

• Reference samples from every lot of granules and master batches are kept over a six month period along with the record of lot and batch number for traceability purpose.
• All packing material (for example: cardboard boxes) is checked on arrival for adherence to specifications and visual defects.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS

• All critical dimensions are laid down by the customers in the Article drawing and Inspection Report.
• Ensure the weight as per the tolerances laid down in the Article specification.
• Wall thickness to ensure uniform distribution of weight across the Article.
• Colour of the Article matches the shade card provided by the customer.
• Visual checks for any process abnormality that might have taken place.
• Drop test as per the customer specification to ensure the Article possesses the required rigidity.
• On requirement Environmental Stress Crack Resistance (ESCR) Test are carried out

DESPATCH

• Random check of boxes is carried out to ensure overall quality conformity.
• A quality report accompanies the despatched lot for customer reference and record.
